How we use Cookies

This page explains how we use your data and the cookies we may use when you visit our websites. You may also wish to read our general Privacy Notice.

When we say ‘we’, we mean Veridicum Limited who is the ‘data controller’ for the information in this overview. This means we’re responsible for deciding how we can use your information.

When you visit our website, your browser sends us your IP address, which – as per standard industry practice – is kept in website server logs.

We use these logs to monitor how the site is being used, and to detect security issues.

These logs are deleted automatically; the previous month’s logs are deleted automatically at the end of each month.

We also use Google Analytics to analyse how our website performs. However, we do not capture any personal information in Google Analytics – in particular, IP addresses are anonymised before being sent to Google Analytics.

Our website, like many others, stores and retrieves information on your browser using cookies. This information is used to make the site work as you expect it to.

If you want to learn more about the general uses of cookies, and how to delete or disable them, please visit Cookiepedia – all about cookies.

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as starting a shopping session, logging in or filling in forms.

You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the site will not then work.

These cookies are used to maintain you login sessions if you log into our site with a username and password.

If you use EvalUAT, we may store a cache of UAT data in your browser’s Local Storage. This is necessary for the functioning of EvalUAT.

If you upload photos, screenshots or other documents as part of test evidence for EvalUAT, we store these and will share them with others who can see the UAT, which may include service providers and hotels, as well as Veridicum staff. You should ensure that any personal data is removed from these before uploading (e.g. EXIF data, or personal information in the background of a screenshot or photo).

We store records on the use of EvalUAT in order to prove the quality of the data in UATs, and to investigate any issues. This may include personal information such as user IDs, usage patterns and IP addresses.
